About Me:

• I am an educator of both teachers and high school students.
• I am a mother and a wife.
• I am a New York City native.
• I kept my maiden name.
• I was married at the United Nations.
• I am a first-time homebuyer.
• It took me 4 years to even admit that I lived in Jersey, and now I actually really like it here (I moved here 11 years ago from Manhattan).
• I attended the same university for undergrad & grad school (NYU).
• I am only 5 foot 3.
• I have a remarkable number of friends born in 1969 (including my husband & me).
• My husband, my son, and I were all born during the "Year of the Rooster"
• I am a combination of Italian, Scottish, Welsh, German, Czech, Irish, and Native American ethnicities.
• I used to sing frequently, having performed at many of NYC's top clubs in the 90s.
• I wrote a novel when I was 13 and haven't completed another since.
• I am very politically liberal and very unapologetic about it.
• I had a genius I.Q. as a child (now I'm just above-average).
